This devotional encourages readers to embrace Jesus’ example of humility and total dependence on God. Throughout Scripture, Jesus repeatedly said that he only does what he sees his Father do (John 5:19), demonstrating that His power came from aligning with God’s will and constantly giving credit back to the Father. This ongoing "credit transfer" not only protected Jesus from pride but also empowered Him to fulfill His purpose. The devotional reminds us that while success can be fulfilling, it can also tempt us to take personal credit or allow others to see us as the source. However, we must be cautious not to take God’s credit or worship, as doing so places us in competition with Him, which can be dangerous to our growth. By intentionally transferring credit to God, we remain humble, stay connected to His power, and find true security and purpose beyond personal accomplishments.
